Let's try this again...

It's been a while since I've posted on my blog. A year has gone by already...so what are the updates?

In the late fall I worked on a few small gigs. I did a few promos for a program called Project Forward Leap in Philadelphia, PA and for Union Catholic Highschool Scotchplains, NJ. I recently was the AD on a short called Stepsisters and for a few shoots for the web series The 47th Floor. Also helped UARTS alum Kim Bunce with her short that will be premiering at The UArts Senior Film and Animation Show May 9 + 10.

In Feb. 2009 Show Me was accepted into 2009 United States Super 8 Film + Digital Video Festival in New Brunswick, NJ. Then in March 2009 into The Reel Women's Film Festival in Burbank, CA. In both film fests Show Me was a finalist.http://reelwomenfest.com/ http://www.njfilmfest.com/

Besides from film festivals, I'm currently working at Nokia Theatre in Times Square as a camera operator/I.T. I alternate with a partner on filming the artists, shooting photos of them, and updating the marquee. I am actually working a night of show piece for Nokia now which will be up hopefully on the marquee in May.

Allegory Productions will be coming out with a few new shorts and a feature which all are still in pre production. The first short will be filmed at the end of this month.

That's it in a nut shell of all the excitement..wooooo :)

I'll try to keep these updated more.

Finished Shooting

We finished filming this past Sunday and had a great last two shoots with minor problems of getting lost. haha But in the end all of the footage looks great and I just finished a first rough cut of the film. I always posted a trailer I threw together. It definitely gets that tv sitcom feel lol I'm not sure if that's really that great but oh well it looks pretty awesome.

Third Day of Shooting

Our day went really well despite the minor setback of a dead battery. Triple AAA is a great service. Anyway, we were set back an hour however still completed the shooting schedules right on time. Ali and Mel did a great job with their scenes and the same went with Jenn and the kids.
Nick and Brad were on crew and did a wonderful job setting up and filming. We have two more days of shooting and then we will be wrapped up. I think this project is looking really good and everyone is still having a great time in production so that's the important thing.

Things to remember:

When shooting a big day like that again definitely give an extra hour if there are any set backs like trouble with your car.

and HEADPHONES!!! I need to remember to go home and get the nice pair I have before I'm wrapped up!

Day Two of Shooting

Sunday was our second day of shooting and it was at two locations. (Allie's apt and Claire's house)
Again everything went extremely well with both locations. Nick was on crew and we did a really great job with lighting and camera work. We finished all the scenes with Allie alone and the first and last dinner scene with Claire.  Jimmy another crew member helped make a track we tried out for the end scene. Unfortunately, it still needs a little work so we are going to reshoot the scene in March after the big fight scene with Claire and Allie.

    Things to remember:
  1. Gaffer gloves
  2. Gaffer Tape
  3. Give keys back to owner of the house! (so you don't have to drive half way back)
  4. Bring own table cloth or anything for that matter (so you don't have to worry about ruining it)

First Day of Shooting

We started shooting this past weekend and had a very successful time. Friday was Day 1 of production and we shot two scenes in Flemington. (Allie brings the kids back to Jeff's) Kim and Mike were on crew that day and did an excellent job with helping me with lighting, sound, camera, and continuity.

   Things to remember:
  1. extension cords
  2. reflectors
  3. headphones
  4. gaffer gloves
